Last Call in Harpster: Triangle MC’s AHRMA Flat Track Weekend, Oct. 17–18
There's a 42-acre piece of Ohio dirt in Harpster where, one weekend a month from May through October, the Triangle Motorcycle Club runs a short track under the lights on Saturday night and a half-mile on Sunday afternoon [1]. This weekend, October 17–18, is the October one. It's the last date on the club's posted 2026 schedule [1], and it's the last Northern Region stop on AHRMA's 2026 flat track schedule [2]. Last call, folks. The season is about to go dark, and you can either be standing at the fence when it does or reading about it on Monday.
Saturday night, Sunday half-mile
AHRMA's flier calls it a Northern Region points-paying event run in conjunction with Triangle Motorcycle Club, part of the 2026 AHRMA Regional Flat Track Series [3]. Saturday is the short track. Sunday is the half-mile [1, 3].
Short track at night is flat track with the fat trimmed off: a tight oval, bikes sideways off every turn, the lights throwing long shadows across the groove and nowhere to hide a mistake. Then Sunday you wake up, drink whatever passes for coffee, and do it again on a half-mile where the speeds climb and the margin for stupidity shrinks. Two disciplines, one weekend, one field. That's the deal.
One housekeeping note: AHRMA's schedule table labels the whole weekend "(Short Track)," but AHRMA's own flier and the club's site both list Sunday as the half-mile [1, 2, 3]. I'm going with the flier.
Who shows up
By the club's own count, more than 5,000 spectators watched nearly 1,000 race participants there in 2025. Racers come from all over Ohio and nine other states, and the riders range from 4 years old to 84 [1]. Read that age range again. Somewhere in Harpster an 84-year-old is still turning left on purpose, and a 4-year-old is learning how. That's not a stat. That's the whole sport in one sentence.
AHRMA, the American Historic Racing Motorcycle Association, is a member-owned not-for-profit [2], and its 2026 flat track series is presented by VIB-ISO [2]. I don't have an entry list, and I'm not going to invent one. Show up and find out who's there.
Why I care
This is the dirt Legends Only Racing lives for: member-owned clubs, grassroots ovals and the folks who keep the lights on so the rest of us can go racing. It's the same world the Flying Nightingale #69N comes from, and it's the reason our race schedule leads with flat track.

Seasons end whether we use them or not. The track doesn't ask what you meant to do this year. It only asks whether you came.
