US Hemp in 2026: Acreage, Genetics, Building Materials, and the New Federal Definition

Per the Congressional Research Service (CRS IF13136, updated Aug. 17, 2026), the change is scheduled to take effect November 12, 2026, shifting the plant-side threshold to total THC (including THCA) not more than 0.3% on a dry-weight basis.
